About 
With over three decades of experience at the forefront of Thailand’s salon industry, MOGA prides itself on the craft and skills of its hairstylists. We believe that what defines our success lies in the quality of our staff and optimum standard of services we offered.  For this reason, MOGA ACADEMY has been set up with the vision – “to be a good hair stylist one must start from learning the very basics of hairdressing”.

—DIRECTOR SPEECH—

The first impression you make comes from the way you look.  Your hairstyle can also determine your appearance and exert an inordinate influence on the way that you are perceived.  Therefore to make a good first impression, taking care of your hair is also very important.  During the time I was enrolled as a student at the Vidal Sassoon Academy in the United Kingdom, a male customer came to the Academy and told me about his constant failures in job interviews.  He believed his long untidy hair had been one of the reasons behind the perceived unprofessionalism his potential employer may have had about him.  Being unemployed he was not able to afford ordinary salon so he had to come to the Academy for his haircut.  Two weeks after his visit, the same customer came back to the Academy and thanked me.  He had just been employed after having had a successful job interview with his new haircut.  This particular experience has taught me that a hairstylist may not only cater to his or her clients’ desired appearance, but could also change lives in a miraculous way.  The experience has left a lasting appreciation that has grown into my passion for the hairdressing business.  But passion alone may not lead to success in this industry.  MOGA ACADEMY was therefore created with the ambition to share the knowledge, techniques and skills cultivated for over 20 years that will allow our students to gain real commercial expertise and improve their craft as hair artists.

Academy Director

  • Graduated with Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance Major from University of Southern California and worked in an international financial institution for 4 years. 
  • Certified Hairdresser NVQ Level 3, trained at Vidal Sassoon Academy, London UK.
  • Over the years Lalida has worked with many leading hair brands that has led her to become well-versed in the latest hair trends and technologies

Masahiro Okunomiya

Creative Directior

  • An Expert Instructor with extensive teaching experience at home and abroad.
  • Masahiro has worked in the salon industry for over 30 years, both in Japan and Thailand.
  • He has almost 20 years of experience in managing MOGA salon branches and train MOGA staff

Dai Uematsu

Creative Directior

  • An Expert Instructor with extensive teaching experience at home and abroad
  • Dai has worked in the salon industry for over 20 years, both in Japan and Thailand. He has over 15 years of experience in the management of MOGA

 

Duangdao Saiari

Senior Instructor

  • Duangdao is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the salon industry.
  • Her continuous attendance in numerous regionally held events and workshops has greatly contributed to her artistic vision and creative development over her career.

Rachadaporn Wailom

Senior Instructor

  • Rachadaporn has over 25 years of experience in the salon industry and is an expert in color and perm services.
  • She was also a contestant in the Wella Trend Vision Award and has collaborated with many leading fashion magazines in Thailand.
OUR CURRICULM
As every customer is different and trend changes over time, a stylist will achieve a long term success only if he or she can create and design haircuts. Our curriculum includes both theory and practical parts; the basic of structure of the head, hair, and the fundamentals of each hair cutting technique. This will enable students to provide good consultations, design suitable haircuts, and offer styling recommendations that will help build long lasting relationships with his/her customers. 
All classes are taught by instructors who are currently working in our salons. We often update our curriculum to ensure that the content remains applicable and relevant to the current salon activities.
Unfortunately, our beginners hairdressing courses are conducted only in Thai. However, we can arrange private group workshops in English or Japanese with advance notice. Please contact us for more information. 
OUR FACILITY 
MOGA Academy is equipped with up-to-dated hair equipment and products that are currently being used in our salon in order for students to familiarize themselves with the real working environment in the salon. We also maintain the same standard of hygiene and cleanliness as our salons. The academy is located in a convenient location, near Siam and Chidlom skytrain station. There are multiple access to the building including parking. There is a cafeteria within the school area available for use during breaks.
